Responsibilities
Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness of the SPL Nutrition Service areas by following established procedures each day. Assist the Nutrition Coordinator in the preparation of meals and be effective and efficient.
Overview of Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, stock room, refrigerator, freezer, dish wash area and all equipment utilized in the preparation and distribution of food including weekly cleaning duties.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors in accordance with or exceeding the regulations of the North Carolina Department of Child Care and Environmental Health and Sanitation.
- Setup, help prepare and deliver food etc. to meeting/trainings as needed.
- Assist the Nutrition Coordinator to prepare and delivery meals and snacks to clients.
- Portion out food and deliver to cottages at appropriate meal and snack times.
- Collect and clean all dishes, pots, pans etc. for next meal or pick up.
- Maintain all condiments, juice, milk etc. as needed in cottages.
- Maintain food service garbage disposal and collection areas in accordance with Environmental Health and Sanitation regulation.

- Attend required training as needed.
- Ability to work as a team by assisting the Nutrition Coordinator when your own work load allows.
- Perform other such duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
Qualifications:

- Experience in the field of commercial food preparation; experience in service to pre-school, elementary school, and teen-age population preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application software
- A valid NC driver’s license, at least 3 years of driving with a driver’s license and clean driving record are required. All potential job candidates must pass a drug screening test, and an extensive background check is required
