Responsibilities

Overview of Responsibilities:
  • Be a caring, compassionate teacher who truly enjoys working with young children.
  • Has early childhood classroom experience.
  • Understands regulations for working in a five-star, early childhood center. Has knowledge of Environmental Rating Scales, NC Foundations, and the DCDEE childcare requirements.
  • Has Familiarity with Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold
  • Has great interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with staff, children and families.
  • Has a teamwork approach as it relates to maintaining classroom ratios and working with your co-teacher.

Skills & Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • This position requires an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent schooling to meet the state requirements to work in an early childhood education center in North Carolina. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
  • A valid NC driver’s license, at least 3 years of driving with a driver’s license and clean driving record are required. All potential job candidates must pass a drug screening test, and an extensive background check is required.
Salary: $41,000
