Responsibilities
The Foster Care Licensing Specialist's primary purpose is to provide recruitment, training, guidance, coordination, and compliance management to assigned Foster Parents. Performance will be measured by your individual outcomes, achieving your individual targets/goals, your contribution to your overall program team/department and your buy-in to the culture of the organization.

- Ensure each foster parent on your assigned caseload is supported and meeting all necessary regulatory and training standards
- Ensure all foster parent charts are always “audit ready”
- Provide high quality training, re-training, and continued education to foster parents on your caseload
- Participate in recruitment events, marketing, and other methods to encourage increased foster parent interest at Thompson

- Bachelor’s Degree in social work or a related field is required
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application software, excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Meets criteria as a Qualified Professional in North Carolina
- A valid driver’s license, at least 3 years of driving with a driver’s license and a clean driving record are required. All potential job candidates must pass a drug screening test, and an extensive background check is required.
